windows CE .net within 1910 size limits
jus browsin through WindowsCE.NET sites tonight (400mb emulator? no way im going to download that!), and i found some information that is looking pretty encouraging RE: WinCE 4.0/.NET/Talisker being able to run on the 1910.
On the Windows Embedded site, it says that the minimum footprint for WinCE 3.0 (what we all have now) is 400kb. Of course, we all know that the size is much bigger due to GUI, apps, drivers, etc. HOWEVER, this WinCE.NET FAQ says that the WinCE 4.0 kernel is only a 200kb footprint, half as large as 3.0. If we get lucky, and everything is in proportion to this ratio, we should be able to get WinCE.NET on our 1910s...provided, of course, that HP comes out with an upgrade for us.

I hope that's true...when I bought my 1910 I was considering the v35 too. I choose the 1910 but was uncomfortable with two things....1) it ran at 200 Mhz (well that's no longer true) and 2) When the next OS came out I wouldn't be able to use it.
I didn't care about SDIO then because I really didn't use it (or know too much about it). But that may be about to change as well....
Wow this little ppc is turning out to be more of a bargain all the time. Way to go HP
*praises HP for unknowingly giving us BIG easter eggs*.
