Your iPhone Uses Almost No Power
I hadn't thought about it much, but I've always assumed the annual cost in electricity of using my iPhone would be at least $10 or $20 or so. Nope. According to a study by the Electric Power Research Institute, it costs 38 cents to fuel an iPhone 4 for one year. An iPhone 3G costs 25 cents.
An iPad costs less than $2.
Too bad wireless service isn't so cheap.

Re: Your iPhone Uses Almost No Power
My iPad serves me more than 14 hours after a full recharge. I consider this to be very good. On the contrary my crappy device - Blackberry Playbook hardly stays for four or five hours - a very big mistake I made by buying it. Going by this there is no surprise on your observation. An Apple device may trouble your pockets but not its maintenance cost.
