iPhone 3GS LCD dimmed after rain
Last Friday I was caught by a storm and my bag got a bit of moisture which seems to have affected my 3GS iPhone.
It still works but the LCD has no brightness anymore, I can barely distinguish the display content.
I have been able to open the case and the first 3 cables and put everything back together but to no avail.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to proceed with a fix? Thanks.

Re: iPhone 3GS LCD dimmed after rain
I have found the following little IC components, the 6RB coil and the 3GS backlight controller (109B) that people say will provide a fix:
iPhone 3GS backlight repair Combo1 X 6R8 coil and 1 X 109B IC for Apple USA Imag | eBay
Will need to try this because replacing the LCD replacement doesn't fix the backlight problems.

You might try opening it up and putting it in a bag of rice and leaving it for a couple of days to be sure the moisture is completely out of it. I'd do that even if you are going to put in the replacement part.
