Default Looking for good recording apps

    Hey Guys,

I spend a fair bit of time on phone meetings that I need to record and share with other folks. I generally use iTalk then send the conversations via Dropbox or FTP. The problem is that iTalk creates massive files - something on the order of 2 MBs per minute and often the meetings I'm on are longer than an hour - so it's not unusual for me to be creating 150-200 MB files. Those are not huge by modern standards, but some of my contacts can't handle them. Their corporate security systems don't let them through in any fashion. Is there another app that does a better job condensing audio files?

    Thanks!

You might want to look for sound editors that might not only record, but allow you to chose a compressed format for saving. I don't know the iPhone so I can't give you tips, but when I Google "sound editor for iPhone," I get several apps coming up and a couple of them seem well rated.

    Google (ASUS) Nexus 7, wifi+data (AT&T), Android 4.2.2, stock and un-rooted (so far )
LG Nexus 4: AT&T (Gophone), Android 4.4.2, stock and unrooted-- and probably staying that way.

One of the Times tech bloggers recommended 'Easy Voice Recorder.' I don't know if it will solve your issues though. Take a look and see.

Thanks, that's definitely one I'll try.

Since you FTP, I recommend an app called Poddio, it allows you to choose the exact in and out points, down to milliseconds, to extract audio clips. You can drag and drop these clips into new audio sequence. I hope I'm of help

Try one of these recording apps

    1) StudioTrack
    2) MultiTrack DAW
    3) Studio HD
    4) N-Track Studio
They should help you. Let me know if they have.
