Are iPads showing up in TV shows much? (I don't watch enough TV to be able to tell myself.) I keep wondering if they'll replace Macs on-screen, as I think it gives directors more options for shots. For example, characters can walk around while using a tablet instead of having to sit while using a laptop.

I see an equal number of iPads and iPhones and there are a lot of them.

A few episodes ago, Psych (USA network) had an episode in which one of the lead characters was hospitalized for the entire episode and yet participated in all of the crime-solving legwork via FaceTime using 2 iPads (1 with the patient & 1 with the investigators.) Very entertaining and more than a little clever.

Lots of iPads on TV. They showed up almost immediately. The first 'showing' I can recall was on Entourage, when their lawyer (Rob Morrow) pulled one out. Most computers, unless specifically supplied by Dell (usually) or someone like that, are Apples, often with the logo obscured (not that it makes it hard to ID).

They are used on "Fast Money" on CNBC. Look like desktop monitors, not sure what they use them for.
