Exclamation I have sold my iPhone and am trying to view my notes on my Macbook. Any idea how I can do this? SOS!

I desperately need to view my Notes as I had very important tidbits of info within them and I foolishly did not email them to myself or anything or that sort. All I have is a backup on iCloud and my iTunes of my iPhone. I have no clue how or where I may even access these Notes. If anyone knows where to go or what to do so that I may able to see my notes I would greatly appreciate their help and advice! Thanks

It depends on how the notes were taken. In the notes app there are several "categories". On this iPhone is a category you NEVER should use. Always pick your iCloud ID for the category of your notes and they will show up in mail.app on your Mac as well as on every other iDevice you use.

    Welcome to Brighthand, lollyluck.

The two options I know of are MobileSyncBrowser and PhoneView. They should be able to extract the notes from your iPhone's backup file.

If you are planning to buy another iPhone and restore it from your existing backup file, your notes will probably show up that way too.

Thanks! I always wanted an application to read the messages on my mac. By the way, do you know any application that can be used to send messages from the computer?

I tried to search it, but they'd all send it not through the iPhone carrier but internet. Thanks in advance.

You mean you want to connect your iPhone to your computer and send an SMS message through the iPhone using the computer?

The closest thing I know of is Type2Phone by Houdah Software, which lets you use a Mac as a keyboard for an iPhone. Anything closer than that to what you are describing would probably require jailbreaking, and I don't really have any experience with that.
