Re: Reviews of iPhone/iPod Touch Apps
The largest app I got was the baseball app at 12MB. All the others seem very small < 3MB.
Apple's photo sharing may be just as easy, but nothing that can compare with the gorgeousness that is SmugMug.
Easier to use than Yahoo movies because it's fitted to this size screen.
Not search like spotlight - search as in, you take a picture of text and it can extract the text from your picture and make a note out of it. Very, very cool.
Can't add free books as in - when you click the "+" sign to add a book in eReader it takes you to their website. I haven't looked to figure out another way to add books but I'd be a bit surprised if there were one.Last edited by Pupator; 07-11-2008 at 09:25 PM.

Re: Reviews of iPhone/iPod Touch Apps
You should try out FileMagnet.
FileMagnet makes it easy to copy files from your Mac and view them on your iPhone and iPod touch. It supports all the common file types, including PDFs, Microsoft Office documents, images, movies, sounds and even folders. By running the FileMagnet Uploader on your Mac, you can wirelessly copy files over your wi-fi network. In addition to viewing files on your iPhone, you can organize and delete files while on the go.
- Scroll, pinch and zoom through your files with the touch of a finger.
- Use FileMagnet as a portable drive, it's easy to copy files from your iPhone onto another Mac.
- FileMagnet Uploader is a free download from www.FileMagnetApp.com, requires Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and a wi-fi network.Current Device: HTC One X
Every day Giveawayoftheday.com offers licensed software you'd have to buy otherwise, for free!

Re: Reviews of iPhone/iPod Touch Apps
Seems odd. I would bet you can do it by adding them to iTunes, just as I can add my own MP3s to iTunes. Obviously, I can't test this out, but it would be plain silly if this is really how it works. It would render Ereader completely pointless on the Touch/iPhone. I wouldn't use it if it could only read books purchased from Ereader.

Re: Reviews of iPhone/iPod Touch Apps
I'm not sure how you could add an ebook to iTunes. That requires functionality that iTunes doesn't have.
I'm not sure because I don't have an eReader account or books that I used on another device. I'll try to find a FAQ.Can you add books from the ereader site that you already own and read on another device ? PalmTX in my case.
Update:
Seems like the books have to be from eReader.com or Fictionwise.com

Re: Reviews of iPhone/iPod Touch Apps
Ah good thought :-). I'll go and have a look. Right now the site doesn't seem to be responding that well but there is a Help link. I remember now they have readers for desktops and symbian phones as well as Palms so this issue must be addressed somewhere.
Thanks - Michael

Re: Reviews of iPhone/iPod Touch Apps
OK I just downloaded the mac ereader and I can download all my books again from the ereader site and now read them on mac and palm. So I see no reason why I couldn't do the same if I owned an iPhone :-)

Re: Reviews of iPhone/iPod Touch Apps
I believe you will be able to download OTA from Manybooks.net, though I am not sure this has been set up yet. There is good information over at Mobile Read. Obviously, I can't test this.

Re: Reviews of iPhone/iPod Touch Apps
Application: Pandora
Price: Free
Requirements: iTunes, PC or Mac
Grade: A++
-------------
I'm a new Pandora user as of now, but I've heard good things about it for quite a while. No complaints whatsoever, it's great. It's the perfect solution to my problem of not having the computer co-located with the main music system. I can now plug my iPod into the music system and not only access my whole music library (on iPod), but have Pandora access as well.
