Re: Apple cut iPhone price!
yep, go figure, especially when you consider early reports were a 3rd quarter that would be stellar sells, so much for analysts predictions!
I see our point Brian, I wonder how many of the initial sales were the 8G vs 4G?iPhone 4, iPhone 3G, Plantronics 320, Mac OS 10.6.3 on a 15" MacBook Pro, Airport LAN & WiFi, att.net, PDA path: Palm i705 (2004 - son)=> Palm Tungsten TX (4/06 - sold) => Nokia 6682 (7/06 - 7/08) => iPhone 3G (7/08 - 7/10 now used by son) => iPhone 4 (7/10 - current w/ work SIM) & Nokia (?)(7/10 - current w/ home SIM)

Oh, I think much farther than that, Adama. After all, they all have phones.

Re: Apple cut iPhone price!
LOL, yeah this is a tough pill to swallow. On the one hand I was happy to shell out $600 for the iPhone given that I've been waiting for a wifi PDA/smartphone that doesn't suck for years (the iPhone has its limitations, but frankly I was fed up with Palm's and Windows Mobile's problems).
On the other hand, while I fully expect price drops and product improvements ~6 months after buying something like this, $200 after 10 weeks is pretty rough
IMO, Apple should issue a $100 credit to us early adopters for the Apple and/or iTunes stores. It'd be good PR for them and would placate most of us.
Having written all that, this was a good move and the iPod touch is a very cool handheld. The iPhone is impressive at 11 mm thick and 4.8 ounces, but the iPod touch managed to retain the iPhone's gorgeous screen and wifi while being only 8mm thick and 4.2 ounces... wow.
If having an all-in-one device wasn't important to me, I'd get one of them (but not having to carry two devices is nice, so I think the iPhone is still the way to go for most people, especially given the better price)1992-2012: HP 48s, 200lx, USR Pilot 1000, Palm III, V, M100, Handspring Visor, Sony Clie N610c, T615c, T655c, HP iPAQ 1910, 2215, Palm Tungsten T3, HP hx4705, Dell Axim X50v, HP rx1955, Apple iPhone, 3G, 3Gs, 4, Samsung Galaxy Nexus

hey deslock, just curious, what is the return policy, can't you return within what 20 days for any reason?

Re: Apple cut iPhone price!
There are a lot of pissed off people who bought early. I wouldn't be surprised to see Apple give all the early adopters an iTunes credit or something similar.
This article only about how unhappy people are, not a solution. Link_____________________

Re: Apple cut iPhone price!
Apple has a 14 day return/price policy. Within that time you can give it back or get a refund for price changes. I've read that quite a few people outside that window have gotten maney back or other settlements by being assertive. This move will surely generate a lot of iPhone sales but I think it may cause people to be far more cautious with future products but I'm sure they've thought of that too.
