Re: iPhone Review
berylrb,
I think that reference to "Video library" is referring to videos purchased from the iTunes store. While you can, using tools like the one reference above, copy DVD videos to a file format that works in iTunes/iPod/iPhone, it should be much easier than it is.

Re: iPhone Review
I'd love to hear about the iPhone allowing ripped/converted video from DVD and other non-iTunes sources, but that link you posted (as Pupator commented) I think refers to iTunes content.
Any links to folks actually using the mentioned tool(s) with the iPhone? It seems like it might work, but do we know for sure..? It'd be a great step toward it being an appealing device (for me, anyway).Current PDAs: NEC MobilePro 900C Current Phone: Apple iPhone Current Gaming: Nintendo DS & Sony PSP

Re: iPhone Reviews
I'm still having issues with the bizmail and iphone, I have gotten it to receive but i can't get it to send email..... any ideas how to fix it?
>>>>Problem was with multiple accounts (I have 3) and the use of a Yahoo bizmail account that takes some playing with to get it right. Does not allow you to assign ports. Does not allow you to utilize the automatic setup for Yahoo, etc. You must use the "Other" category mail setup if there is any variance to the email addressing scheme. The setup using the "other" approach to email setup can be tedious - maybe even frustrating.>>>>

Re: iPhone Reviews
hi Kittenmac!
Here's my first question: Are you on a mac or a pc? I know with macs whatever your settings are in your mail account can be transferred; I assume it would work similarly with outlook. Maybe there is a way we can set up your settings on your home computer so they transfer over seamlessly.
So let us know what type of operating system you use and what your mail program is and we can hopefully find you some answers.

Re: iPhone Reviews
I don't know bizmail, but my service will allow me to receive email from its POP3 server from any other internet provider, but it will not allow me to send email through its smtp server unless I am on their network. It's to prevent the use of their outgoing server to send spam. There is no work-around for it that I've found, either, and tech support suggests using their web interface.
As I say, I don't know if this applies to you, but it probably does to many providers.

Re: iPhone Reviews
what I don't understand is the "doesn't allow you to assign ports".
I went to bizmail and it appears that POP is simply mail.bizmail.com.au and SMTP is the same. Why tweak the port settings? Is this because of the necessity to check three accounts simultaneously, hmmm?
I use POP and SMTP on three devices with no problems: TX, MacBook Pro, and Nokia 6682, three different operating systems and I've never had to tweak the ports? However, I've never tried to check multiple accounts on the TX or the Nokia, I only do the multiple account thing on my desktop.iPhone 4, iPhone 3G, Plantronics 320, Mac OS 10.6.3 on a 15" MacBook Pro, Airport LAN & WiFi, att.net, PDA path: Palm i705 (2004 - son)=> Palm Tungsten TX (4/06 - sold) => Nokia 6682 (7/06 - 7/08) => iPhone 3G (7/08 - 7/10 now used by son) => iPhone 4 (7/10 - current w/ work SIM) & Nokia (?)(7/10 - current w/ home SIM)
