IR sync without serial emul (and with outlook cond) ???

Hi,

I have a Palm IIIxe for long time.
My problem is, now I have a new laptop that hasn't serial port so I can't use cradle. I had downloaded Palm Desktop 4.1 from web and it was fine (Ir connection) but I couldnt sync with outlook 'cause sotware from web hasnt outlook conduits.
So I try to install my old palm desktop with chapura conduits, but then I havent Ir connection (Hotsync 3.1.0). I have been looking for Ir monitor in my computer to emulate a serial port, but i haven't found (HP compaq with windows XP). So I cant use my old Hotsync (that doesnt support Ir itself).
So, is there any way to upgrade my old Hotsync (3.1.0) to new one that comes with desktop 4.1 (Hotsync 3.1.2H)?
Any suggestion or idea will be wellcomed.

Install the new 4.1 desktop, and then install Chapura, but not the old desktop software.

Or, purchase a serial to USB converter. Either should work for you.
