touch screen gets stuck and fades

i have two deep problems with my palm....

a.) when its on... the screen simply splits up into thin strips... and then all the text slowly blurs and disappears... i have inserted new batteries and done a complete hard reset ... yet the same problem persists.

b.) the screen often just sticks and i can use the buttons but not the pen and sometimes pressing abnormally hard on the screen with the pen seems to work... i think somethings deeply wrong with the touch screen.

ps... i am based in ahmedabad, india.. theres a complete lack of service/ maintanence and/or palm representation this part of the planet...

Sorry to say, but it sounds like your screen is broken and no good anymore. I don't know which Palm you have but you can find some replacements screens and digitizers here. I don't know what their international delivery is liek or if they even do it. If not, you may have to think about getting a new Palm unfortunatly.

Most likely the cable connecting the screen to the motherboard in your device is damaged or lose. You can find instructions on disassembling the unit at http://www.gethightech.com and try to fix it.
