Palm III HotSync Interruption

Okay, I'm new to the Palm III stuff. My daughter gave me her Palm III. I don't have the CD, however I successfully downloaded the Desktop & OS Software to hook them up. I was able to exchange The Datebook, Address, Games, etc., successfully. However, now every time I use the HotSync feature I get an error message."HotSync operation was interrupted. Some of your data was NOT backed up. For details, tap HotSyncLog on the HotSync screen." The HotSyncLog says about the same plus (8009). Can someone please enlighten me? There are other programs I would like to have, but can't. Thanks
