palm III, OS v. 3.0, Outlook XP?

Please help!

I have a palm III, am using OS v. 3.0, and would like to sync with my new Outlook XP? What do I need and more importantly, where do I get it? Do I need to upgrade the OS? Should I, if I don't need to? The only upgrade I could find on the palm site requires that I be running OS v. 3.1 or higher.

Your Palm's OS is just fine (though I do recommend the free upgrade to OS 3.3), but you will need to download and install the latest desktop software, available here.

Now what? I've installed the latest desktop software and cannpot seem to find the option that allows me to sync to Outlook XP. Please help!

You will ned to install Palm Desktop from the CD to get the option to sync with Outlook; then you will need to update Palm Desktop to the most recent version.

I don't know whether you will have to uninstall your current version before doing this; I guess I would try it without uninstalling, then uninstall first if it doesn't work. Directions for uninstalling Palm Desktop are here.
