Palm IIIc with Windows 2000 and Outlook 2000

I have a new Windows 2000 laptop at work and I'm trying to install the software on my Palm cd to let me sync to my Outlook 2000 account.

However, as soon as I install the software - I believe it is Pocket Mirror that installs when you say you want to sync with Outlook - it pegs my processor to 100% and it stays there until I uninstall the Pocket Mirror software.

Is there a way to sync with Outlook 2000 without going through the POcket Mirror software?

Well Well Well - If you can cough out a little more money you can try IntelliSync or WeSync......

I'm going to try the trial version of Intellisync. Another person at the office has a Sony Clie, which came with Intellisync lite and he doesn't seem to have any problems.

I suppose you can only use that software if you have a sony right?

Nope you can use IntelliSync with any handheld that has the Palm OS. So you can use the same copy - Just be careful not to infringe any copy-rights!!

I've never heard of this problem with Pocket Mirror. Have you upgraded it to the latest version? Have you tried Chapura's tech support? They have an excellent knowledge base.

I contacted their support through email. They weren't very helpful... though I can't remember exactly what they said.

I haven't looked through their knowledge base yet, but I will definitely try that.

Are you using the PalmConnect USB kit? I found another person who had this problem using the USB adapter. He thought it had to do with the driver - have you downloaded the latest?
