i705 Non-multimail e-mail sync?

    Default i705 Non-multimail e-mail sync?

    Greetings.

    I have a user who is has a hand-me-down i705, this is the first time she's used it. The mail app is listed as Multimail, which, I understand, has been discontinued. Is there any other way that the i705 can sync with Outlook 2k3? Everything else is syncing up fine, but I don't know if multimail can be uninstalled and a more standard, cradle-based mail sync program can be run?

    If the hand-me-down came with the disk, use the CD to install the MultiMail desktop conduit and make sure to load any patches. MultiMail was not ONLY wireless, you could sync it as well.

    I want to use my i705 without any email. Is there any way to disable the multi mail part?

    Right click your hotsync icon in your system tray, click on custom, and disable the multimail / mail conduit.
