    Default i705 price drop

Why has the price of the i705 dropped so fast. I bought mine around March or April for $449. Now I see them selling for under $200 brand new. I know computer prices drop, but this was a really fast drop in price. Reminds me when I bought my Philips Velo. The price of it didn't drop this fast and this lower.

Probably people anticipating the Tunsten W is driving down sales, so people are discounting.

Also, I think that $199 price is with a service contract, isn't it?

That's the Palm Store price, and it doesn't say anything about required service activation.

I also saw a promotion last week in which Palm was giving away six free months of service with a one-year contract. $17/month for unlimited data is a really good deal.

6 months free service? I guess I missed that one. Is that over?

I had been reading the website daily as I just picked up an i705 -- the $199 deal. Everyone has said it's the expected arrival of the Tungsten W. I remember a similar drastic price drop on the VIIx.
