Network down

For 2 days the Palm Network in our area has been completely down...I just get messages to that effect and cannot connect at all. The interesting thing is that we are within 3 miles of Camp David, where the President is spending Christmas...and he arrived 2 days ago! Is it possible that the Mobitex network is blocked or overloaded or otherwise rendered unavailable by who or whatever is there or is this just an odd coincidence...

Hello lowtech.

Shutting down nodes on the Mobitex network sounds a bit severe. Have you tried a soft reset on the Palm? Have you tried conacting Palm's i705 support people?

That's how the Palm network normally works.

Alan, Yes...I did a soft reset - no change. However, it did come back last night - did you ever notice how, if you complain on here or to Palm, the issue magically resolves? Did I call Palm? No! That is too often an excercise in frustration: nice, guys - no clue. I get my best results on this forum...see? It worked again!
