Default New to me - Used HTC EVO Shift

Acquired a marginally dinged up EVO Shift, and activated it on my line. Swallowed a bit as my data plan went up $120 a year. But, I still have my SERO plan, and I still have my full upgrade available to me.

Now, I need to figure out how to root this thing. Far too much carrier junk on it.
Current Device: Samsung Galaxy Note II - Rooted Stock ROM
Retired Device: HTC EVO Shift 4G - (Rooted) JellyBelly ROM 4.1.2
    Tablet: Kindle Fire

The school year is back in session - I'm likely to be absent from here quite a bit...

    That is correct, Jig.
I'm stumbling over the keyboard right now. Really used to the TP2 layout, and am really missing the number row.

But performance is by far better than FrankenDroid. However, that was not a waste of time. I'm coming at this, knowing what I want, and on a device that should deliver without compromise.

Oh, I have no regrets hanging on to my TP2 and trying XDAndroid. And even though I think I'll use my Nook Color a little less, I'm glad for that purchase, too. I'm sure you'll get used to the keyboard, but give various onscreen keyboards a try, too. I'm really loving Swype.

I used Swipe on my TP2. Love it. Already Swiped on the Shift.

    Congrats!

It is sad to see the fellowship of the frankendroid dissolve though

Frankie is still around. That is likely where I'll demo more stuff before I put it in production on my live phone. Believe me, Frankie is more useful running FrankenDroid than WinMo.

Either that, or Mom will end up with Frankie, so she can play card games on it.

You guys are very kind, but I didn't mean to be a downer. New tech is a cause for celebration.

Does shifty have a name yet?
