The apk is probably an installer. Do you have a fle manager you can use to navigate to the apk and tap on it? It should then start installing (again, this is based on Android, not Xandroid).

This battery calibration "proffesionals.battery.callibration-11-1.1.apk" work nice battery meter now is much precise
"(again, this is based on Android, not Xandroid)."
Maybe that's why is not installed

Does your wifi use WEP for security? If so, please see the FAQ at xdandroid.com.

As to the AndroidApps folder, only apks placed inside the root of that folder (not within a sub folder) get installed. If you're already placing them inside the root of that folder, then I'm not sure why it isn't working.

GBX0B comes with ASTRO file manager, so you can use that.

@Mi An Thanks bro. I'm download AndExplorer.apk and install it. Works great )))
Install swifttkey x keyboard and when I go to setting, message pop up "finish installation" and force to close :/
My wifi use Wep key but I can't use wifi at all.
I turn on wifi and immediately receive a message "aplication settings(in proces com.android.setings) not responding and force to close"
I don't see Wi-Fi MAC adress, I turn on WiFi and Mac adress is unavailable in mobile status.

@jigwashere "GBX0B comes with ASTRO file manager, so you can use that."
I want to use it but on my phone GBX0B won't start at all just freeze every few seconds and black screen and xdanroid logo, and again come back and freeze and it just repeats grrrrrrrr
I described step by step how I installed GBX0B (a few posts up)
I don't know if I was correctly installed

    New edit :P
I'm download "thaikeyboard9420.apk" keyboard and it work much better than this original android keyboard I type letter "P" and I get "P" no more, type letter "P" and get "LOP" or something like that :P only it's little bit slow keyboard, not for fast typing

Battery meter - solved (work precise)
    Keyboard - solved (for now)
    Wi-Fi - not solved

I'm download "wifi_tether_v3_1-beta6.apk" and install it, but when I start wifi tether, don't get settings just WiFi icon (not my picture, just to see what i get)
And i press on wifi icon ad get message (error look in "show log") and up 0.0kbps and down 0.0kbps. I can't go to settings, I don't know how to go to settings like others
    Where I was wrong?
when I go to settings->about phone-->status-->Wi-Fi MAC Adress unavailable
It dosen't matter wifi is on or off, mac adress is unavailable
What I nedd to do? where I'm wrong?
    Thanks for the help guys

    to supplement:

I'm just following this out of curiosity; but does xdandroid prevent you from using WEP-encrypted Wifi? That seems odd, even if it's weak security. t

I don't recall the details, but it isn't a policy, just a question of support. I seem to recall a particular app is needed to make wep work. That info can be found in the wiki.

android-wifi-ace - Android WiFi Advanced Configuration Editor - Google Project Hosting is required to connect to WEP enabled networks. You have to manually key in all the details of the WEP security, and then you should be able to connect.

Tried, and tested on a WEP network on my TP2 with Froyo and GB.
Current Device: Samsung Galaxy Note II - Rooted Stock ROM
Retired Device: HTC EVO Shift 4G - (Rooted) JellyBelly ROM 4.1.2
    Tablet: Kindle Fire

The school year is back in session - I'm likely to be absent from here quite a bit...
