Good list, I had a hard time at first between the Galaxy Note 2 and the GS 3. Then the Nexus 4 was announced and that was it!

Magellan - just curious since I am eyeing the Note II for the future - what was the thing or what were the things that caused you to personally decide on the Nexus 4?

Hopefully Magellan will respond, but for now you can get some info from his post here: My Nexus 4 Drool until I get one thread. ;-) It doesn't answer your question, though.

If you're amenable to Sprint, I think the Evo LTE is better than all of those except probably the SIII or Moto Maxx.

I am using the EVO LTE, and like it a lot.

Got my eye on the new Nexus, lack of LTE notwithstanding.

Internationally, generic, unlocked or small carrier. My opinion.

    1. Galaxy S3
    2. Galaxy Note 2
    3. HTC One X+
    4. LG Optimus G
    5. Motorola RAZR i or Sony Xperia T (tie)

Runner Up: Asus Padfone 2, Motorola RAZR HD

The Nexus 4 can get into the list but it is only limited to a select countries. Dealers are not likely to carry it because LG won't give the same discount they gave to Google.

The One X+ is a new version of the One X with an upgraded Tegra3 processor at 1.7Ghz (pretty fast!) and comes with Jellybean. The color trim is slightly changed to. The One X is being heavily discounted now to clear stocks for the One X+, so the One X itself is a pretty good bargain.

The Motorola RAZR I is the same phone as the Droid RAZR M but comes with an Intel Atom processor running at 2Ghz. Note there are many US phones that are missing in international markets like the RAZR HD Maxx and EVO 4G LTE. On the other hand, there are also many international phones not seen in the US market.

Sony phones are like Nokia, a lot more popular elsewhere than in the US.

There are increasingly many LTE carriers around the world but LTE is not that important compared to the ability to move from one carrier to another from the international standpoint.
