Great development; but it seems to be arriving much more slowly than originally anticipated (at least by me).

With its arch-rival Kingston releasing a 64MB microSDXC card, I expect SanDisk to come out with a 128MB card in the next few months.

Re: 64GB microSDXC Cards Becoming Increasingly Common Discussion
minor typo, Ed.....my first SD card for my m130 was a 64MB card.....
EDIT: fwiw, this post indicates that the 64GB microSDXHC card works in a Droid X. The Droid X is more than 2 years old, so if anything, more recent phones that take microSDHC cards could be expected to handle the 64GB microSDXHC card, too.Last edited by RickAgresta; 11-02-2012 at 09:53 AM.

Re: 64GB microSDXC Cards Becoming Increasingly Common Discussion
I knew they were here; but prohibitively expensive. When XC cards were first introduced and even conceptualized, talk was much about 1 and 2 TB cards coming pretty quickly. That was at least 2 years ago. 64 and 128 GB cards were almost expected to be interim type models and to become cheap pretty quickly.

Re: 64GB microSDXC Cards Becoming Increasingly Common Discussion
I guess this size card is for someone who stores lots of music or video. Now they need to update the battery tech so all that video can be used without plugging in.
One could carry a massive amount of ebooks on this so it seems almost overkill.

Not in the foreseeable future, I don't think. Hard drives are faster for read operations, and don't
suffer from the same limitations on the number of writes that solid state does…my 2˘My useful BH links -- BH FAQS/repair options/digitizer discussions
