    T-Mobile released the Samsung Galaxy Note II today as expected, but at a surprising price point. Earlier this week T-Mobile was rumored to be offering this phablet at $300; however, the carrier is actually charging $70 more.

    Compare the cost of ownership over two years and I suspect you're still better off with T-Mobile than AT&T. If T-Mobile charges even $5 per month less (and I suspect it's more than that), you're better off long-term with T-Mobile.

    I agree, but that's still a big price jump over top of an already extremely high smartphone price. At prices like that, they're risking people going with older or lower-end devices instead.

    Very true. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw this below $200.
