Verizon Drops Price of Samsung Galaxy Nexus to $50 Discussion
It's been a little more than a week since Verizon delivered a delectable upgrade to the Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean", and now the carrier looks to be in a hurry to unload the phone, dropping the Samsung smartphone?s on-contract price down to $50.

Re: Verizon Drops Price of Samsung Galaxy Nexus to $50 Discussion
Aside from specific gnex 2 rumors, there were also a string of rumors over the summer about Google rolling out 5 Nexus devices with Android 5 on Nov 5th in the google play store. Back then we thought Jelly Bean would be Android 5, but it's possible it was always a rumor about Key Lime Pie. November is fast approaching, and Verizon could well have their eye on clearing stock for another nexus, even if it isn't a Galaxy.
I, for one, welcome our feline overlords.

If Google lowered the price on the unlocked GNEX 1, I'd consider it, but I'll wait to see what new offerings there are, which might be too late. ;-)

Key Lime Pie or not, this is a pretty damn good deal. The Galaxy Nexus is a nice machine if you can live without the MicroSD slot.

Re: Verizon Drops Price of Samsung Galaxy Nexus to $50 Discussion
I do like the phone and I could probably live with the onboard memory and lack of memory slot, which is probably a Google, and not a Samsung idea, but I just checked VZW plans in my area and the cheapest individual plan, with a 2gb max, would be $100/mo. If I could live with that, I'd just get the $55/mo. Page Plus plan with unlimited minutes and messaging and still have 2gb.
I really need to see how much data I'm using per month.............
I would love to have a pure Android device.
