I think that the numbers might even out a bit for Verizon with the new iPhone with LTE. A lot of V customers I know were holding off, because for them the 4S wasn't such a great thing. On the other hand, Verizon's plans are not all that conducive to upgrading.

Verizon salesmen are also BIG on hawking Android. Mrs QF yelled at a Verizon salesman when he tried comically hard to sell her on Android after she specifically spelled out that she wanted an iPhone.

This may be a result of pressure from Verizon management. This carrier has to pay Apple about $400 for every iPhone sold, while the payments to Motorola, HTC, Samsung, etc. for Android smartphones are lower. Naturally, Verizon prefers customers buy devices with a higher profit margin.

Ed, do you know the specific figures? I'd always thought they were pretty close, given prices for unlocked Android models.
