I think that the numbers might even out a bit for Verizon with the new iPhone with LTE. A lot of V customers I know were holding off, because for them the 4S wasn't such a great thing. On the other hand, Verizon's plans are not all that conducive to upgrading.

Verizon salesmen are also BIG on hawking Android. Mrs QF yelled at a Verizon salesman when he tried comically hard to sell her on Android after she specifically spelled out that she wanted an iPhone.

Pity the fool that gets yelled at by Mrs. QF.

This may be a result of pressure from Verizon management. This carrier has to pay Apple about $400 for every iPhone sold, while the payments to Motorola, HTC, Samsung, etc. for Android smartphones are lower. Naturally, Verizon prefers customers buy devices with a higher profit margin.

Ed, do you know the specific figures? I'd always thought they were pretty close, given prices for unlocked Android models.
