I expect Google to release a stand-alone Maps app for the iOS. Location-based advertising is important to the company, and it can't make any money if it's not in the game.

At the same time, I'm sure Apple is going to keep improving its Maps software. It's being cited as the worst feature of iOS 6, and Apple has to get it right.

Competition between these two is going to be good for us users.
