I checked on my 4S about an hour ago and it was available for download. Unfortunately I do not have wifi until I get home so will not be able to download for another 10 or 12 hours. I would love to hear from those who have already downloaded:thoughts, problems, how long it took, etc.

Sorry I can't help this time. Not upgrading my iPhone 4 because I'm passing it on to my son & he uses Google maps a lot (native in iOS 5.1.1 but excluded/replaced by Apple Maps in iOS 6.) This is the first major upgrade that I've ever skipped.

Google will soon have their app back in the app store I hear. I tried to upgrade, but it said it was going to take 7 hours, then 16, then back to 5, and I said the heck with that. Waiting till tomorrow night.

I am downloading it now. It looks like it will take about 20 minutes and I only have 10 minutes remaining.

Mine took over an hour. No iOS 6 for my iPad, though.

I installed iOS 6 on both my iPhone 4S and iPad 3. So far the experience has been good. I'm really enjoying the new features, and have yet to run into any bugs.

I missed a chance yesterday to try out the new Maps app -- out of habit I used Scout. And I haven't yet dipped my toe into Passbook.

One thing I forgot to mention is that if you plan on selling an iPhone 4 or 4s after receiving a new iPhone 5, it's best NOT to upgrade those models in order for the buyer to determine if an upgrade is wanted. New iOS negates ability to jailbreak at present & might influence sale.

I have found a bug with contacts. I have my groups but there are no contacts in them.

It turns out that my contacts are in groups but groups work differently in iOS6 and iOS5. I like the way they work in iOS5 better.
