Google decided to not wait until the release of iOS 6 to introduce a stand-alone YouTube app for the iPhone. It's available now.

The old Youtube app on the iPhone truly looks awful compared to the latest Android Youtube app. In fact the HTML5 web app for iOS was better. The whole idea of integrating apps into the OS proved to be an awful idea when you cannot upgrade the app separately.

I realized that I am exposed to more ads on Youtube, followed by Google Reader, than ad banners in mobile apps.
