Default Samsung Galaxy S II Plus Surfaces, Possible 2012 Landing Discussion

Amid the thrill of Samsung's latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III, it appears the manufacturer has another Galaxy model in the works, only this device will be more comparable to last year's second generation Galaxy S, according to recent reports.

Has it really been determined that the 1.5 dual-core is that much worse? Some reviews of other phones (not to mention the fact that North American models often have the dual-core) suggest the gap isn't huge.

I should add that I like the look of this model more than the SIII (although it's hard to tell from a photo) and I like the buttons. Apparently, it has the menu button, which Samsung has dropped from some models. I only wish it had switched the 'search' and 'menu' buttons. I think I'd use Menu more.

I don't think I've ever used the search button on my phone.

I do, but that's because apps other than Search can map to it…
