Today, the Times reported a significant uptick in US sales. Of course, it's a lagging indicator, so we'll have to see if it can be sustained.

I think there should be an award for "the most hype for the least information" in the new product announcement category. What can this mean but "keep looking at Nokia?"
I sincerely hope it's worth the trouble; maybe they will be putting their neat camera on all their Lumia phones. Or maybe they'll be making the RT tablets.

It's either a Windows RT tablet or their WP8 lineup. Shocker.
And Brickman, I'm buying a Nokia WP8 phone as soon as I'm due for a new device on my contract (spring of 2013). Their customer support is unparalleled. Every company has bugs (despite the now-infamous Nokia media campaign to the contrary), but Nokia responded to wifigate in a matter of days, and gave affected customers cash as well as a fix. Most companies release a patch or fix months later, and certainly don't pay back the customers for the issue (HTC, I'm looking at you over the Titan voice quality issue). The Lumia 900 wifigate response enraged shareholders...but it did so because it placed customer satisfaction over shareholder satisfaction, which is kind of refreshing nowadays.Samsung Galaxy S III (U.S. Cellular, unrooted, Launcher8). My review.
Sony VAIO Duo 11 (i3-3217U, 11.6" 1080p IPS, N-Trig stylus, Windows 8). My video review; handwriting test.
Sony VAIO F2390X (i7-2670QM, 540M, 16.4" 1080p, Windows 7 Pro). My video review.

Re: Nokia Has 'Something Amazing' on the Way Next Month Discussion
Its a typical Microsoft tactic. It doesn't work anymore. Steve Jobs showed the exact opposite. Keep things in secret. Keep the mystery, which feeds the hype. Make the announcement, then released soon after. Strike when the embers are still red hot.
People are learning this way. Note Samsung. They keep the S3 secret to the last moment. When they announced it, they were striking it when its hot --- a quick launch across the world and even with US carriers.
Google is learning it too with the Nexus. They did it with the Nexus 7. They kept the thing in mystery and speculation till the very last moment. Announce, then launch as soon as possible. Strike when hot. Sold out across the country in one day. Google did underestimate the demand, but from the preorders, may have already ramped up.
Microsoft was back in its old ways with the Surface tablet. Announce, but without a pricing or a launch scheme. When the pricing is finally hinted, its too expensive. Magnesium casing may affect its production run. OEMs like Acer were pissed off and sounded that verbally. By the time these tablets would come out, so will the iPad Mini, new Kindle Fires and the Nexus 10.I am @guamguy on Twitter.
