If that is a dual core 4th generation Qualcomm, it should be regarded as mid to high range phone. Verizon must be losing its touch lately, letting AT&T have Motorola's most advanced phone, since this is Moto's first HD phone, first 4th gen Qualcomm and Ice Cream Sandwich phone. I think this looks surprisingly nice. Might want to see how Verizon's upcoming Droid Fighter though.

I don't think Verizon ever sold (or wanted to sell) the Atrix; but I do agree that it's an upper-tier phone and said that in the original Atrix HD thread. It is a shame Verizon isn't going to sell it, and other than the Galaxy Nexus (already getting a bit obsolete) and the SIII, they don't seem to be selling quite as many top Android phones.

It seems to me that Verizon is getting themselves upstaged recently by AT&T, who also got the HTC One X. Verizon forego that important phone and I don't think the Incredible 4G LTE is not quite it. Not to mention that AT&T also has the Galaxy Note. If the Amazon best selling lists are a clue, the consistently top positions the Galaxy Nexus and the RAZR Maxx gets may have given Verizon a sense of complacency
On the other hand, there are rumors of a new HTC superphone heading to Verizon that is even more powerful than the One X by 2x, packing the quad core Qualcomm S4.
Like to see how the Droid Fighter turns out. Motorola's RAZR design language, also applied on the new Atrix, looks quite appealing.I am @guamguy on Twitter.

Re: Motorola Atrix HD Launches from AT&T Discussion
I wouldn't call it 'upstaged.' Verizon has always operated differently (and very conservatively). In the 'old' days, Verizon pledged to 'never' sell a phone without an extendable antenna, and held to that for a long time. They are very strict on what handsets they offer, not always to their (or their customers') benefit. My father left Verizon, which he'd been on forever, to go to ATT, simply because Verizon didn't offer a BlackBerry for a very long time. Of course, they did soon after he left. I do agree that the Droid Incredibles have been anything but. I wonder who heads up their product development team. They need a signature Android device like Sprint has. and the Droids haven't really been it, except for at the very beginning.
