Default Samsung Galaxy Note Might Finally Debut from T-Mobile in Mid-August Discussion

Nice. But it would still be pretty expensive if the price on the ATT model is any indication.

It would be easier to read and I find myself using a capacitive stylus (AKA "blunt stick") on my phone, anyway.

If this is the first generation Note, prices of it has been falling since its already a mature product. Therefore, its likely to be cheaper than when it was first introduced. Note the new Note might be around the corner for international markets.

I just wonder which CPU/SoC they're using on the T-Mobile version. It'll probably be the Qualcomm Snapdragon like the AT&T model, but there's always hope that they'll follow the GT-N7000's precedent and go for the proper Samsung Exynos.

Still, if the T-Mobile release drives Galaxy Note prices down across the board, all the better. The GT-N7000 international version with the Exynos and physical Home button is still around $550 new (give or take $20), and that's just way too much for me when I don't even plan on using the phone functionality. $300 would be more reasonable.

My daughter picked one up for $537. Note this is unlocked and no contract, which means you can tie it with a cheap prepaid plan that you can cancel anytime.

I think the T-Mobile version uses the Qualcomm S3 dual core at 1.5GHz. This is probably because the Exynos only supports up to 21Mbs on HSPA+ while the Qualcomm does the required 42Mbs for T-Mobile. The T-Mobile version comes with Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.
