News is coming in that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may feature the upcoming Android 5.0 operating system, also known as Jelly Bean. This super-size smartphone is expected to debut in the fall.

Jellybean is going to be Android 4.1. From another perspective, Android OS versions should be grouped in bunches I like to call "eras". The first era is the Alpha-Beta-Cupcake-Donut era. The second is the Eclair-Froyo-Gingerbread. The third era is Honeycomb-Ice Cream Sandwich-Jellybean. JB is likely a refinement of ICS, which is one OS that did many things right and don't really need to change much. After that "K" would mean a new restructuring on Android.

If this rumored specs for the GN2 is true, I wonder how fast the Exynos 5250 will be. It not only has the next generation architecture on the CPU, but a next generation GPU as well. The Exynos 4412 on the SGS3 isn't from an architecture standpoint, a big change from the 4212 used on the SGS2. The cores and the GPU are the same design, except they added two more cores and bumped up the clock speed.

Couldn't care less what OS version it comes with, but a non PenTile screen and a stylus that works 100% of the time would be great....and if it doesn't follow the shiny bar of soap look of the S3 even better.
