I would have thought the lack of PS titles would have been a bigger deal given the devices hardware function.
Sony to me are usually more guilty of releasing new devices with older specs than anything else.
They gave good reason as to why it won't be updated to ICS in that the ICS requirements and overhead are going to decrease the performance of the devices advertised function....seems a responsible decision to me.LG Nexus 4

TRUTH. As a long-time owner of Sony products (from a well-used PS2 to my Bravia TV to my current laptop), can't agree more. They recently just can't seem to nail...well...anything.
Tablet S: distinctive, attractive, AND practical case design that looks nothing like an iPad? Check. Super-quality screen? Check. But wait...we'll throw in a TERRIBLE wi-fi connection for a device that lives off of wi-fi. And while we'll proudly advertise that it can play Playstation games, we'll never actually release more than a dozen or so Playstation games for it (and we'll never release anything that anyone actually would want to play, like, say, Final Fantasy VII: List of PlayStation Suite games - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ).
Vaio F: Great screen? Check. Great keyboard? Check. But why not put a serious GPU in a two-inch-thick multimedia machine? *facepalm*

Sony VAIO Duo 11 (i3-3217U, 11.6" 1080p IPS, N-Trig stylus, Windows 8). My video review; handwriting test.

They updated all their 2011 phones to ICS except the Play. Even their Tablet S has been updated to S. This is not the case that they don't want to, but likely because some games may break on ICS.
Despite the keypad, the Play isn't the best Android phone for gaming. The moment they didn't put a 1mb of RAM and a Tegra2 back then sealed its fate.I am @guamguy on Twitter.
