I think I love this phone. Unfortunately, it's a bit like finding a beautiful woman who turns out to be a vegan, National Socialist, who plays for the other team (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I may either choose this or the Droid Incredible 4G to eventually replace my EVO 3D (no rush, something further down the road). I was very tempted to get a One X but that's a GSM phone, and my eventual replacement plans is for both my GSM and CDMA lines. Getting a One X or One S would be very nice, but that won't plug my CDMA side, which may eventually mean keeping two HTC phones on the front lines (I did that before with my Desire Z and Droid Incredible). Except for a Blackberry Tour, my CDMA line has been consistently an HTC for many years, stretching to the Windows Mobile days. I am not giving up that tradition.

So I am thinking, either an S3 vs. One X for the GSM side, and EVO 4G LTE vs. Droid Incredible 4G on the CDMA side. My local island provider on the CDMA side imports phones both from Verizon and Sprint, while the GSM provider imports phones either from AT&T or international (Canadian, Latin A., as long as it has 850 band).

I like this the best out of HTC's models this year so far, too big for me and probably won't be available anyway where I am.
What about the Sony Experia Ion V ?, I get a bit mixed up as to what NA carrier has what, but at least this has the HDMI out you were after? and very nice design.....pity it's going to have older dual core snapdragon in it [typical Sony] but may not matter that much to you.

I'm not sure I'd buy a Sony phone. I'll see. Unfortunately, as nice as this phone is likely to be, I'm not sure it's enough to drag me to Sprint. It's a shame it's not a standard HTC model (or they had closer variants). This is NOT just an 'S' or 'X' by the way.

If you're following Brighthand on Twitter, you know I did a quick series of unboxing shots of the EVO 4G LTE yesterday. I've been testing the smartphone ever since.

This phone is begging to go a one on one with the AT&T One X. Or I hope Brighthand makes a four way phone battle review between the EVO 4G LTE, AT&T One X, Verizon Droid Incredible 4G and the T-Mobile One S.

Another site absolutely loved the aesthetics, materials, and hardware specs; but couldn't even really conclude much, largely because of the lack of LTE-built cities. A bit like trying to test-drive a Ferrari during Rush Hour in Midtown traffic.

Its been a while but HTC has finally regained the top and second pole of the Amazon bestseller's list, managing to push out both Samsung and Motorola (which had a field time with the RAZR and the MAXX). It's a one two with the EVO 4G LTE and One X as of May 15, 2012.
