ICS update truly transformed my old Nexus S (GSM with AT&T frequency). I am honestly surprised how well thought this update was. At the end of the OS update, the updater would scan the existing apps on your device and optimize or upgrade them for Ice Cream Sandwich. I thought the low hardware specs of the Nexus S would drag Ice Cream Sandwich, surprised to see it feels smoother and faster than before. Won't change the fact that power apps like Google Reader, Google Currents and Google+ run much faster on dual or quad core devices but generally I am quite surprised how solid this update (Android 4.04) is.
