    Apple released iOS 5.1 for the iPhone today. This operating system and software upgrade brings a number of small improvements to Apple's smartphone, but few major ones.

    Upgraded my iPad 1 and iPhone 4 after 10:30 PM on Wednesday nite OTA and had no problems. Both devices seem a bit zippier, too.

    It's a bit crazy to swipe the Camera ^UP^ to access it from the Lock screen. It opens really fast.

    Updates iP4 last night. Actually UN-Jailbroke for it. My JB was a little glitchy.
    I'll test 5.1 out today while on the road. I'll update iPad 1 tonight.

    I installed it over-the-air on my iPhone 4S late last night. The upgrade went without a hitch.

    One of the betas had Facebook integration, but I can't find that in the final version and Apple made no mention of it (which is why I left it out of my news article). Can anyone find a mention of FB in the Settings panel?

    I like the camera button on the Unlock screen, but I wish it was reprogrammable -- I use ProCamera instead of the standard one.

    I understand a new version of iTunes is required, but I haven't installed that yet.

    I had upgraded iTunes on Tuesday nite in anticipation of whatever came out of Apple's event but I didn't use it at all for either upgrade. I actually haven't wired either device since the initial installation of iOS5.

    I find no trace of Facebook in Settings. MacRumors users indicate that it was dropped from beta to release version and that beta users will lose the feature next week when beta expires.

    Not yet. I plan to run my iPhone 4 battery down almost completely and then recharge in order to check for any difference.

    Mine seems to be better but I was JB so that had something to do with it. So far so good. I'll watch it today.
