    Adobe has just announced that it's abandoning its efforts to bring support for Flash to smartphones and tablets. Instead, the company is throwing its weight behind an alternate standard, HTML5.

    Those of you who are PlayBook users will be interested in this:
    The BlackBerry maker said in a statement on its official blog that as one of the Adobe Flash source code licensees, it will continue to work on, and release, its own implementations of the software.
