Re: New HP CEO: No Decision On webOS Yet Discussion
So are the Layoff within the WebOS group going to be stopped? Will be see any WebOs Touchpads at a higher price with both front and rear cameras?
Will there be dual bootable TouchPads officially? Or will WebOs flavored tablets be in the immediate future?

Phil, in this case I suspect that "no decision" means "We haven't chosen whether we're going to try to sell it off, or just keep it for the patents." It's pretty much a done deal that they're killing their hardware line, so there aren't going to be more Touchpads.

In recent news I read that HP is taking back the decision to kill the PC business. And the recent news is also that there are new production runs of tablets. So dead dead, it's not quite.

Re: New HP CEO: No Decision On webOS Yet Discussion
It's a crazy situation. As iOS and Android become more and more like WebOS HP simply looks stupid and slow for taking a year to get the Touchpad to market after buying Palm.
HP foolishly took out a successful CEO is a way that crippled the company's search for a replacement. And then moved from successful inertia to insanity.
