Grant, thank you for a great write up. I think you nailed everything I said. I liked the tone also. I really appreciate it. My ego shot up when I saw this.
Thank you.

Lelisa, since I'm new here, I'm not sure of the structure of the blog.
If I would like to continue the discussion on this topic, what is the best way to do that?

Re: 4G World: Where Does 4G Go From Here? Discussion
I'm talking about 4G being a "tipping point." But I could be wrong. After all I thought ISDN was a tipping point. But that was 30 years ago. I think I've learned a lot since that and I really think that 4G is a tipping point because of video.
I think particularly in the education industry. A mechanic could be working on the tail of a 767 and need some instruction on how to do it, video could work very well there.
Or a student with a tablet could get lessons and additional modules via 4G. This would allow the student to learn when and where they are best able to learn.
Also, 4G will allow for better services on the "Cloud." Because of the bandwidth to connect with the Cloud will open up new applications.
Does any of this make sense?

I think so, but beyond video recordings are video virtual meetings. The mechanic in your example could consult with other mechanics, using the onboard camera to show the problem, someone assists by showing him what to do, then the mechanic turns the camera again to have his work checked. He can have a live assistant with him who happens to be miles away.

jigwashere, exactly. Great Points.
We are a connected society and in most cases when we need connections we would like them right away, even if we are mobile (Sometimes specifically because we are mobile.)
The key factor in human interactions is "bandwidth." The more bandwidth the richer the interactions. We have come to expect rich interactions from our experiences at our desktop. 4G offers almost the same while we are mobile.
