Verizon Not Getting the Samsung Galaxy S II Discussion
A spokesperson for Verizon Wireless said today that her company isn't going to offer a version of the Samsung Galaxy S II, a high-end Android smartphone that's selling well in Europe. The other top U.S. carriers are expected to introduce this model soon.

Well, that's a huge disappointment, frankly. This has the potential to be a superb model: SAMOLED+, and much more widely available than the Samsung Infuse. I do hope Sprint provides a version with a keyboard again, as they did with the original Galaxy S which they made into the Epic 4G. SAMOLED+ and a keyboard would be a hell of a combination.

I am seriously, seriously bummed. This leaves me with either Droid Bionic or iPhone 5 (I am not waiting past the end of Sept/early Oct for a new phone-I dropped my droid on it's head and now the power button only works sporadically.)
Damn you Samsung!

I'm a bit bummed myself, although I'm a bit off Android and Samsung to some extent.

Its likely Verizon is getting a very similar phone, considering the announcement of the Galaxy S2 LTE, which is most probably the basis for the Nexus Prime aka Droid Prime.

I know but I am not hanging onto my original Droid much longer.
I think I might wait and grab an iPhone 5. If nothing else it will have decent resale value, so I can flip it for another Android phone later if I prefer. Generally it seems resale values are lower for Android phones so doing the reverse is less advantageous for me.
