When HP officially unveiled the Pre 3 early last month, the company didn't say which wireless carriers will be offering this webOS-based smartphone. New evidence suggests that one of these will be Verizon.

Good. Another possible choice on VZW for me. Hopefully this one is big enough to become more popular than its predecessors.

I'm one of the people who thinks that the 3.1-inch display on the Pre 2 just isn't going to cut it. That's why I'm interested in the Pre 3.

Re: Verizon Getting the HP Pre 3 webOS Smartphone Discussion
I had wondered if the trend towards larger and larger screens (which I love) might open up an opportunity for the Pre/Pixi's smaller footprint. I guess we'll see what happens with the Veer. Maybe 3.1" is in that reverse goldilocks zone, and is too little for everyone who likes big and too big for everyone who likes little.
I, for one, welcome our feline overlords.

Re: Verizon Getting the HP Pre 3 webOS Smartphone Discussion
I wonder if the person(s) responsible for the midget Pre and Pixi might have provided the input that resulted in the Veer? Really, is any other manufacturer deliberately building smaller smartphones? I was experimenting with the mifi today with my feature phone. I visited my web mail site and BH and I can tell you, the viewing experience on a 2.5" screen is underwhelming at best.
