I, for one, think it would be a good thing for Android to slow down and stabilize somewhat.

The only thing more prolific than Android OS's are new Android devices.

These changes must be frustrating for programmers and device manufacturers. Not to mention the consumer, who gets a shiny new just-released device that's 2 or 3 versions behind the most recently announced.

I agree with LS. I don't think Google should DICTATE as Apple does; but a bit more coordination I think would ultimately grow and help the brand. Right now, we are in the midst of the 'Big Bang' of Android. The planets haven't even coalesced yet. It's getting to be like an overgrown, weed-choked garden.
