I already have the cradle and spare battery. Guess I'd better grab the car mount this week or who knows if I will be able to find it.

Carriers!

Unfortunately, I was afraid Google couldn't succeed in the US Market, but I am so happy I can go a couple of more years without dealing with the carriers. For that, I am grateful to Google.Hook's Stories

Well today, my local Docomo Pacific carrier now has the Nexus One under its glass display cabinet next to some Blackberries.

Do you think it's worth it to grab up the AT&T model now? Or do you suspect models with as good specs will soon be available all over the place that work on the AT&T network?

Depends on how much you don't want an AT&T Rom. If you are planning on having a contract with AT&T, it is looking like they willl have good spec android devices in the future-- they may even have the Nexus one. The are also supposed to get the Dell with the 5" screen. I'd just wait.
If you want an unlocked unbranded phone to use on AT&T (that's what I do-- my Nexus One is a gophone), then you probably should grab it.Hook's Stories

Re: Google Giving Up Direct Sales of the Nexus One Discussion
Yeah, I prefer unlocked, unbranded phones. My current phone is a Nokia N85, which is fine, but has its limitations. As mentioned before, I also have my Palm TX. It'd be nice to have a single device, and perhaps hope that third party local-sync options will be beefed up over time.
I prefer a GSM phone, in general, just on principle, which is why I've stuck with AT&T. I don't think I have a contract with them anymore, and don't care to get one. And I think their coverage is better than T-Mobile's, from what I recall. Just easier to stick with them for now.
