T-Mobile myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition Is Now Available
T-Mobile has released a new version of the myTouch 3G. The Fender Limited Edition has a look inspired by this classic guitar maker, as well as some other music-friendly features. Aside from these changes though, it's identical to the version of this Android OS smartphone that debuted last year.
The music player, developed by HTC, offers a user interface that allows for toggling between different views or for changing a song or album by touching the album art. It also allows users to create ringtones from songs that are playing.
The original myTouch 3G comes with a 4 GB microSD card, but the Fender version is bundled with a 16 GB one that is preloaded with songs by musicians Eric Clapton, Avril Lavigne, Brad Paisley and Wyclef Jean.
This new edition is available now for $180 with a two-year contract, which makes it $30 more than the regular version of this model.
An Overview of the T-Mobile myTouch 3G
This Android OS-based smartphone has tablet shape with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen and a trackball on its front. For text input, it depends on a virtual keyboard, which can change orientation automatically from portrait to landscape mode, depending on how it is held.
With the name "myTouch 3G" it's no surprise that this phone supports T-Mobile's high-speed network; it also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The Android OS was created by Google, and has strong ties to this company's online services for email, calendar, navigation, and more.
Other consumer-friendly features in the myTouch 3G include a video player, built-in 3.2-megapixel camera, and a GPS receiver.

I'm usually not a big fan of most of these 'special editions;' but I like how they replicate the 'sunburst' woodwork and staining of the guitar.
