HSBC Might Buy 200,000 iPhones
Recently, Apple has been emphasizing the features that have been added to its smartphone to appeal to business users. This includes Exchange ActiveSync. a widely used corporate messaging service.
One company that might drop its BlackBerries in favor of iPhones is HSBC, which is the world's largest company and the world's largest banking group.
The company has 300,000 employees worldwide, and might purchase as many as 200,000 smartphones from Apple.

It's got to be painfully clear - those high interest rates you pay on HSBC credit cards, are going to pad the pockets of their employees.
Sure, we'll trade in a trusted email phone, for a toy. Keep pushing those ridiculous interest rates on the cards for a free iTouch for Christmas.
The fact that such a big name bank, is thinking of moving to a less secure platform boggles my mind.
A quote from another news article here lays it out pretty clear to me:iPhone Encryption Is a Must for the Security-Conscious EnterpriseMany companies with higher security requirements say, however, that the iPhone just isn't secure enough. In particular, the lack of full device encryption is a deal breaker.
So, it's OK for one of the largest banks to lower its security requirements? Not with my money you don't.
You know that at some point, your information could be floating around on one of their phones. Not only is it not as secure, but it could very well be stolen, as the iPhone is in high demand.Current Device: Samsung Galaxy Note II - Rooted Stock ROM

I wonder what happened to the 35% of the Fortune 500 companies beta testing the iPhone: http://blogs.zdnet.com/BTL/?p=9056
If they are now using iPhones, I don't think they will stick with it if it's not secure right?
