Microsoft Updates Windows Live Mobile Search
The most popular destinations on the Internet are search engines, and on mobile devices this is becoming increasingly important as mobile search engines integrate more than web sites into their offerings. Windows Live Mobile Search is a popular option for giving relevant content quickly.
Microsoft has recently released version 2 of the client application for Windows Mobile, as well as a major update to the version designed to run in mobile browsers of all kinds.

For Windows Mobile
Mobile Search Version 2 includes the addition of movie showtimes, directions, maps, and more local content. Support for GPS integration, improved turn-by-turn navigation, and better storage card utilization round out some of the major feature enhancements.
To download Windows Live Mobile Search Version 2 for free, visit http://wls.live.com using a Windows Mobile wireless device.
For Any Mobile Browser
The browser-based version of Mobile Search features a single search box into which users can type what and where they are looking for, and the service will return the most relevant results from different categories: Instant Answers, Local, Web, Images, News, and Spaces.
To start using this service with virtually any phone that includes a web browser, visit http://m.live.com/. No download is required.

Re: Microsoft Updates Windows Live Mobile Search
AWright - I notied your reference to Live "Integration" here and on your review of the i760 from Samsung. Could you explain what you mean? I know I can just download windows live at ls/microsoft.com or some derivation of that url.... but is there something that some of these phones are not capable of that others are?
I hope you are refering to GPS navigation and not to the phone's ability to pass it's location automatically on to LS in order for it to know where you are for local movies / gas etc purposes...
Do you know if the i760 can do the passing of location to LS? I saw this working on a Q9M and it is a very usefull feature.
Thanks

Re: Microsoft Updates Windows Live Mobile Search
It is my understanding that Live Mobile's GPS aspects are to either built in GPS hardware, or via Bluetooth to a dedicated GPS device.
Off the top of my head, the i760 doesn't have GPS. It would have to use A-GPS (basically cellular GPS). I am not sure if this would be so much a part of the device's offering as much as it would be something that Verizon would add in there, and have you pay for.If your smartphone is so smart, then why are you spending so much time learning it? Shouldn't it learn you and adapt to your leanings?
