AddIt is an application that runs on your Palm. MyPalm is completely online, which should take care of the people who complained about delayes updating AddIt whenever they HotSynced.
I thought MyPalm was going to be something like .Mac, but I guess not.I am the former Site Editor of Brighthand, but I now run the sister-site TabletPCReview. Follow me on Twitter

Re: Palm Now Offering Online Service for Treo Users
Actually its using teh AddIt program on the 755p to connect. Not a bad featue, or idea. But it does kinda prove something that I stated a while abck about Palm getting some kind of web service backend to their devices before teh rollout of that new device category. This, plus the backup, plus some hosted apps (subscription for the latter) would make a nice product if priced and done right.
If your smartphone is so smart, then why are you spending so much time learning it? Shouldn't it learn you and adapt to your leanings?

Why is it Treo only? It seems any Palm with wifi or Bluetooth through a cellphone could use this also.

Re: Palm Now Offering Online Service for Treo Users
This and their new backup service are just another way of palm trying to kill the handheld. People wonder why the handheld is dieing, it's because everyone already pronounced it dead. When you can't get many newer apps to support the better screen of a TX, which by the way Palm still sells, many people decide why bother with a better product when I can't use it to it's full potential.

With all due respect, their new backup service is not even worth that name.
There are way too many open loops in the process to make it a failure resulting in user data loss !Digital since 1980, handheld since 2001
