Is this the same Sony spokesperson who denied the original CNet article about the upcoming changes in Memory Stick? It turns out CNet nailed every damned thing on the head.

So when Sony denies something.... wow, I'm really convinced! You too?

There's an opening in Baghdad for him. My former job!

Post The Great Oz has Spoken!!!

"Pay no attention to the UX80 behind that curtain! It does not exist! Sony has no plans to deliver such a device to market! Come back tomorrow with the Witch's broomstick, and I may tell you more! Now go away you meddling mortals, and stop staring at my bum!"

As the "author" of the Photoshopped "UX80" (actually a UX50 with extra buttons), I'm surpised that the image should appear on this website with the caption "Rumoured Clie UX80" when it's been made abundantly clear on the Cliesource discussion board that this photo is a fake.

You should include a comment to that effect.

    Thanks.

I was hoping that what everyone would take away from this article was that all the information on the UX80 is fake, but I guess that didn't happen.

Your original article mentioned rumors and pictures - and you reproduced my image with a caption including the word "rumor(ed)" instead of "fake".

Anyway, the article is more accurate now that it's been re-written and the image removed. Although, it's not quite fair to say the image was "proved to be fake" which implies that somebody else exposed the fake when, in actual fact, I came clean and admitted the hoax.
