Audiovox Demos Prototype Cellular-Wireless Pocket PC
Audiovox has demonstrated this week a prototype of its upcoming PPC5050, a wireless handheld that will use the Phone Edition of Windows Mobile 2003.

I agree, that thing looks like it weighs 50 lbs! Besides after owning a Maestro (which was a piece of crap with lousy support) I would never own anything made by Audiovox again! Three words NO THANK YOU!

The other piece to watch for in the new Pocket PC Phone Editions is the ability for these devices to interface with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. This would allow these devices to have direct access to Outlook or Lotus Notes. So users of these devices would have always on access to the following; Email, Contacts, Tasks, and Calender.
Now I'm sure not all new PPC Phone edition will incorporate this but some will. I have recently been asked to start carry a BlackBerry device. All I can say at this point is I like having the information but wish I had it on my Pocket PC.
