Handhelds Based on WANDA to be Unveiled

At a trade show in September, several companies will reportedly demonstrate Pocket PCs based on TI’s WANDA concept design, which includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GSM/GPRS.

Wow! The Wanda certainly is an impressive device. The only thing they could have possibly improved connectivity-wise would be to include a dual mode GSM/UMTS radio for true 3G instead of 2.5G. But thats just knit-picking at best.

Can't wait to see some of these. WANDA sounds pretty impressive at this point (but then, so did a lot of other things before they were actually implemented).

Well here's some more news about possible who will be the GSM module supplier for the Wanda:

According to CMCS?s online pressroom, it is also the GSM module supplier for Texas Instruments's (TI) WANDA (wireless any-network digital assistant)-codenamed PDA concept design project.
